About Donkey

Mission

Donkey is a nonprofit arts space in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, founded in 2023. We exist to support artists and foster community through exhibitions, talks, performances, screenings, and workshops.

We believe in making culture accessible. Most of our events are free or pay-what-you-can. We pay artists for their work. We keep the space open to everyone.

The space

Located on West Street in Greenpoint, Donkey occupies a ground-floor storefront with approximately 1,800 square feet of flexible gallery and event space. The space can accommodate exhibitions, seated talks for 60, film screenings for 80, and standing receptions for 150.

The building has full accessibility. All events are held at street level with accessible bathrooms.
